So. Will Danny Williams succeed in pulling the wool over everybodies eyes and privatize NALCOR energy before his exit to Florida? Hope not. But if we keep letting him run our province like a private business he'll almost have no choice.
NALCOR is worth billions, has a now almost unknown number of long-term deals signed with the likes of Shell and Petro-Canada and is looking to privatize our water and whatever else they can turn into energy. Now who wouldn't want that asset? Especially with BP getting away with mass murder down in the Gulf (proving nobody is ultimately responsible). What have the business guys got to lose besides profits from not privatizing? Nothing I say.
That's what the next election should be about. Instead we'll have to listen to a bunch of drivel about roads, hospital wait times, and VLT's.
